Klopfgeister:
"Morning-Trance" at its best, that's the perfect description for the first "Klopfgeister" album. This German psy-trance-band was founded in the year 2001 by Jens Schefzig and Thorsten Paul, who is studying music at Marburg university. First it was more a private fun project, but to their surprise the first public performance was a big success. So numerous “live gigs” (no dat, no hard disk used) followed and two “hardrockers” and occasionally a violinist joined in, which caused some rock-influence in the live-performance. On this CD, just done by the founders in the Studio, the pure electronic sounds are much smoother and most likely you would file it under progressive Psy-Trance. The synthesizers are warm and wide, the propulsive, hypnotic beats are never harsh, but faster than you would guess. This sound is fine for the dance floor, but you will also love it in your private sphere, it makes you dream or fly high. Some melancholic parts appear, especially on the last and only real ambient track "Melanchohol", which also shows the bandwidth of these highly talented musicians.
